Put the “Cait” in Caitlin
Movement has always been a part of my life.
After my father passed, I ended up completing 16 years of dance. In conjunction, I also played soccer for 16 years, lacrosse for 8, and a sprinkle of colorguard as well. Finding healthy outlets would be exactly what I needed during a time of my life when things were extremely out of balance.. to say the least. While I couldn’t control the trauma’s I endured, I could control my body. This is why I am so passionate about helping women find what makes their bodies so special. As women, we possess immense strength, and I am passionate about helping women realize and harness their full potential—both physically and mentally. One of my clients once described me as “part drill instructor and part cheerleader,” and I believe that sentiment truly captures my approach. I’m committed to guiding you with both discipline and encouragement to achieve your personal best.
With years of athletic experience came its inevitable toll. Reaching 30 not only coincided with a global pandemic, but also brought on new aches and pains I had never encountered before. Like many, my life took a dramatic shift during this time. I transitioned into a new career path, taking on the role of General Manager at a Pilates studio—a position that would profoundly reshape my perspective on fitness. There, I discovered the power of slow, methodical movements and the importance of proper alignment.
For years, I had been trained to push hard, move fast, and endure the pain that came with intense workouts. "No pain, no gain" was the mantra I lived by. But as my body began to show signs of wear, it became clear that my previous approach was no longer sustainable. This realization led me to become certified in Pilates, a decision that has transformed not only my body but my entire approach to fitness. And I’ve never looked back.
I went on to earn my personal training certification, along with three barre certifications, but for me, that wasn’t enough. I wanted to deepen my knowledge of women’s health and expand my offerings to be more inclusive for women, specifically. Pursuing certifications in pelvic floor health and pre/postnatal fitness was a natural next step.
My personal experience with women’s health played a significant role in this decision. As a teenager, I struggled with debilitating menstrual pain and faced a healthcare system that often failed to address my needs. I was prescribed Depo-Provera, a birth control shot intended for short-term use, simply because my menstrual cycle wasn’t deemed “normal.” What was supposed to be a temporary solution became a long-term fix, and while it stopped my period, it was only a temporary measure. After discontinuing the birth control, I faced the challenge of restoring my cycle and dealing with bone density issues that arose as a result. These experiences sparked my drive to further understand and support women’s health, helping others avoid the struggles I faced.
It’s no surprise that many women struggle with how they feel about their bodies. As women, we are often held to standards that can seem impossible to meet. My goal is to be a supportive part of your journey—helping you realize that you are capable of achieving things you never thought possible.
I don’t just want to provide you with a great workout; I want to equip you with tools that will make your life easier and more fulfilling. These include learning how to breathe properly, how to push your limits while respecting your boundaries, how to rest effectively, how to set and achieve meaningful goals, and how to truly feel at home in your body. My mission is to show you that fitness can be both enjoyable and rewarding, allowing you to feel stronger, more confident, and empowered in all aspects of your life.
I would love the opportunity to connect with you, whether you’re managing an injury, pregnant (or trying to conceive), navigating post-natal recovery, undergoing physical therapy, or simply curious about the services I offer. If you’re interested, please feel free to reach out with a message or book a complimentary 30-minute consultation. I look forward to hearing from you and discussing how I can support your journey.
